Faq's

Q. Where do I get tickets please?:

A. Order online here or at the following outlets: Yorkshire Building Society (Downend), News Shop/Post Office (Downend), Spar (Westbourne Road, Downend), The following PTA’s: Christchurch School, Bromley Heath Infants, Bromley Heath Juniors, St. Augustines, Hanham Abbots, Samuel Whites, Downend School, Staple Hill Primary School. Tickets are selling fast so please get to one of these outlets by Wednseday, before the big night.


Q. What time does the two displays kick off?:

A. Children’s display is at 6:30pm and the Main display is 7:30pm. The gates open at 5:30pm so arrive early to get a good spot and a parking space.


Q. How much is it to get in?

A. Advance tickets are £3.50 and are available from various shops in and around Downend. Other gate prices are £4 for a child (small child in arms/pram is free), £5 for an adult. Online tickets are £4.50 each and include a handling charge and postage.


Q. How long will it take to recieve my tickets purchased online?

A. Allow a maximum of three days and hope the posties are not on strike!


Q. Is there a licensed bar this year?

A. Yes! Bang tidy. But we will be enforcing the 'Think 25' campaign' so if you are Leonardo DiCaprio then you might want to bring a drivers license!


Q. Does Downend Firework Show need more wood?

A. Nice try, but sorry we run a very tight ship here! We have more wood than the Brazilian Government on site here.


Q. Can I watch from outside the perimeter then?

A. NO! We operate like the S.A.S and we will be monitoring the 'Tight Wad Wall' for anyone who is too mean to pay. No visiting long lost relatives in the graveyard on Fireworks night please—we have torches as bright as David Dickison's fake tan.


Q. Is there disabled parking?

A. Yes. There are limited spaces near the arena so please contact us for further details ASAP.


Q. Are there refreshments in the arena that I can purchase?

A. Yes. There is everything you would expect available at our great event. If you are a Fruitarian though, you might struggle.


Q. Should I buy glow sticks and other neon shiny things from the wide boys outside the event?

A. No, no no. They are probably tax dodging...Save the country. I know it's hard children but wait till you get inside the main arena and everything is there for you to purchase! Our glow products are also 'non-harmful' so you can have peace of mind.


Q. How long does the fireworks last for?

A. Until we scare a pilot in an Easy Jet plane. No seriously, it will last 13 minutes for the Children's Show and the Main Display is 22 minutes to be precise. Please arrive promptly to avoid dissapointment.
