Meet the boys at Great Western Round Table

So you could call us the magnificent seven; well others call us Mike, Simmo, Duncs, Browner, The Darkass, Andy and Danny. We are (GWRT) part of a modern worldwide movement called Round Table which was founded to give young men place to meet, make friends and exchange ideas, the Round Table is non-religious, non-political and non-sectarian, and has as much to offer men today as it did when it started in 1927.

As important as what the Round Table is, is what it isn’t, and if you think the Round Table is a closed, secret society that belongs to the past, you couldn’t be further from the truth. Much more than just a club or an association, the Round Table is a vibrant movement whose 8,000 members meet regularly in 600 clubs around the UK to see friends, have fun, and get involved in their local communities.

Hmm—Why should I join?

Because you should! If your getting to the point in your life where you are getting settled and want to get out socially a bit more, perhaps you have just started a family and want a bit of a release, want to meet more professionals in a social environment or just moved into the Bristol area and want to make friends—this is the club for you!

Where are the young men in the area who wish to contribute to their community, have a beer, do something out of the ordinary and meet other like-minded people in doing so? Well, get in touch.

GWRT is NOT elitist, it’s not expensive, it gives you a reason to get up and do something for yourself whilst helping your community. If you are at ALL interested, come along and see us at the fireworks night on our stand, see what we are about, and learn from the experienced Tablers exactly what we get up to..

The energy that members bring to GWRT forms friendships, shapes lives and makes a lasting difference to many people beyond the club itself.

I am to busy to join I think?

No you are not! We meet up together every two weeks for an activity in our calendar, you can put as little or as much into the club as you like—it's your call. We only advise 55% attendance so you get the best out of your membership.

So what type of lads are in the club?

We are seven ambitious dudes.

- Mike is a graphic designer, recently married with a young boy Cruz. His interests are football, surfing, snowboarding, VW Campers, Running and travel.
- Simmo is into property. His interests are boats, wakeboarding and F1.
- Duncs sells fires, so might be a good person to stand near at the fireworks!
- Browner is a fancy recycling man, he is married with a daughter. His interests are cars and caravanning.
- Clive is in construction, he has two kids. His interests are rock climbing
- Andy is a bank manager. Need we say more!
- Danny is a health and safety Guru, is married with a family.

You don't need to be invited to join
